Supply chain management at JD Machine is a managed competency. Dedicated professionals and systems ensure suppliers perform at the highest levels, production schedules hold, and finished parts arrive where the customer needs them, when the pull signal says so. The scope runs the full chain: qualifying and managing the suppliers upstream of the shop, running the production schedule inside it, and managing inventory downstream at the customer.
For customers, the practical version is this: fewer purchase orders to cut, less inventory to carry, and a single supplier accountable for keeping the line running.
Supplier Performance, Held to the Same Bar
The parts JD Machine builds often depend on purchased materials and outside processes: raw material, heat treatment, coatings, plating. Our supply chain team members qualify and monitor those suppliers through the same AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registered quality system customers audit us against. Requirements flow down through documented Workmanship Specifications, material certifications and traceability are verified at receipt, and on-time delivery is tracked, because a supplier who slips a date slips it into a JIT schedule.

Vendor Managed Inventory
JD Machine has offered Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as one of our value added activities to customers for many years. As part of the VMI service, JD monitors customer inventory levels, replenishes inventory at the warehouse or point of use, kits parts, manages assembly components, and manages the production schedule at JD to ensure no schedule disruptions occur.

Just In Time, Pulled Not Pushed
Production runs against physical and electronic Kanban build signals, not against forecast. The lean manufacturing discipline in place since 1998 extends into the customer relationship: job planning, parts kitting, and parts delivery run against actual consumption, on daily deliveries or whatever frequency the program requires.
The pull system stabilizes upstream variability. That is why production schedules hold, and why inventory doesn't bulge on either side of the dock.
Built Around Long-Term Agreements
Long-term agreements are JD Machine's preferred model, and supply chain management is where LTAs earn their value. A multi-year scope lets the team plan capacity, material purchases, and replenishment cycles across the life of a program instead of order by order. Many customers have run recurring production and VMI replenishment with the same JD Machine team across years, and across decades.
