JD Machine sources materials, tooling, services, and sub-contracted work to support precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and testing for aerospace, defense, space exploration, medical, energy, and adjacent customers. Across 48 years, the supplier relationships that hold are the ones built on quality discipline, schedule reliability, and clear communication on both sides.

What We Source
Raw Materials
Steel, aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, tungsten, nickel-based and high-temperature alloys, magnesium, brass, copper, bronze, composites, and hard plastics. Material certification and traceability documentation are required.
Tooling and Consumables
Cutting tools, tooling inserts, fixtures, work-holding, gages, and shop consumables across the CNC machining, turning, milling, and fabrication operations.
Services
Heat treatment, surface treatment, coating, plating, finishing, painting, and other specialty processes that complement JDM's in-house capabilities. Certified-process suppliers preferred where applicable.
Sub-Contracted Work
Manufacturing operations that fall outside JDM's in-house scope, on a project-by-project basis. Sub-contractor qualification follows the same supplier qualification process as direct suppliers.
What We Expect From Suppliers
JD Machine operates under AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and CMMC Level 2 quality and cybersecurity systems, and many of the parts and services we source feed into regulated programs. Supplier qualification reflects that environment.
Quality Systems
A documented quality management system, with relevant certifications (AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9120 for distributors, NADCAP for special-process suppliers where applicable). Material certs, certificates of conformance, and inspection documentation as required by part category.
Traceability
Lot traceability from source through delivery. Documentation that supports JDM's own traceability requirements for regulated end-customer programs.
On-Time Delivery
JDM operates lean manufacturing with Just In Time pull systems. Suppliers that hit promised delivery dates protect the schedule for JDM and its customers downstream.
Cybersecurity
For suppliers involved in CMMC-relevant supply chains, cybersecurity practices consistent with the controls protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Specific requirements vary by category.
