What Is Sheet Metal Fabrication?

Simply put, sheet metal fabrication is the manipulation of sheet metal to create parts and products for many different end-use applications. Starting with flat metal and finishing with a complex product, sheet metal fabrication is an important manufacturing process for a variety of industries.

Sheet Metal Punching

Using state-of-the-art CNC punch presses, our fabricators create holes or forms in a variety of sheet metals. The scrap slug removed from the workpiece may be round, square or completely unique, depending on the design’s specifications. Our TruPunch Press is ideal for thin-gauge materials, making it easier to create precise components.

Sheet Metal Forming and Bending

We form or bend the raw material into the precisely tailored shapes and sizes required by our clients exacting specifications. Our press breaks create tight tolerances and repeatable forming that makes high-volume production runs possible. The process of sheet metal forming and bending retains the integrity of the material used, making it the best choice for products that will experience repeated use or high-stress situations.

Sheet Metal Welding

Depending on the material and application requirements, our team of skilled welders utilize both MIG and TIG processes a quality weld together punched and formed sheet metal works. With active welding certifications, including AWS D17.1, D1.6, D1.2 and D1.1, our clients are assured of highest standards in welding expertise. We also have a U.S. Department of Labor Certified Welding Apprenticeship Program, allowing us to train and retain skilled professionals.

Sheet Metal Finishing

As the final steps in the sheet metal fabrication process, we deburr and prepare all work product in house for final coating. Painting and anodizing are then completed by our fully vetted and experienced contract partners.
